Diane Johnson (The Shining) reading at Barnes & Noble

Diane Johnson, best known for her award-winning novel Le Divorce, will be reading from her new spy novel, Lulu in Marrakech, tonight at the 82nd Street and Broadway Barnes & Noble. The reading starts at 7pm.

Aside from her illustrious career as a novelist, Johnson has one screenwriting credit to her name, but it's a good 'un: in 1980, she collaborated with Stanley Kubrick to adapt Stephen King's The Shining to the silver screen. The film is an absolute horror classic - I'll be making it a point to watch it again sometime this October.
